A revolutionary change can occur when people understand this truth, given by God. It can be compared with the effects which the Hindu Vedas, Moses’ commandments, the Holy Koran and Jesus’ teachings had on humanity. The legacy and teachings of Rev. and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, the True Parents, are not only unique , but the most revolutionary of all . The following pages briefly outline some of the earth - shaking contributions that they have birthed and given to humanity.

1. True Men and True Women 

Looking at various cultures throughout history we see the search to harmonize men and women. There have been patriarchal societies, matriarchal societies, and others priding themselves in striving to achieve something closer to equality between the sexes. None of these aproaches have fully satisf ied our desire to experience all the joy and perfect that relationship.

Many ideas have existed as to what a “man” should be; some of them virtuous, in line with God’s original ideal, and some where quite contrary to it. The same can be said for our ideas of “womanhood”. For example, in some cultures, being a “man” implies not only such positive qualities as responsibility, and a brotherly - fatherly heart, but may also imply a n inflated ego, roughness, rudeness, aggressiveness, and stoicism.

In a similar way, in some cultures, being a “woman” implies not only such positive qualities as inner beauty, tenderness, and a sisterly - motherly heart, but may also imply weakness, seductiveness , inferior intelligence, and instability. In the minds of many people, being a “man” or “woman” can infer negative concepts even more extreme than these.

There have been such fads as the “unisex era” of the 1970s, where men and women considered themselves to be “jus t persons ” except for minor biological differences. The consequence was identical appearance including dress, hairstyle and even light makeup. As a result, it was sometimes difficult to determine whether a person was a man or woman without engaging in clos e conversation.

The rise of homosexual, bisexual, and trans - sexual sub - cultures in the world are further evidence of the identity crisis faced by fallen mankind. Historically, major r eligious leaders have usually been male. Some faith traditions demonstra te a significant difference in how men and women are viewed, while other faith traditions do not.

Christian women who seek to emulate the Divine must model themselves after Jesus, who was a man. The Divine feminine has been crying out from within the heart of women everywhere, seeking identity, recognition, and value. Nowhere do men and women seem to be able to express and experience the fullness of being literal sons and daughters of the living God.

True Parents have brought to humanity, for the very first time in human history, a clear understanding of both the Original Nature of man and woman and also the human portion of responsibility that God intended for his sons and daughters in the realm of the heart. Through a pure and divine heart , and with a spir itual perspective, True Parents experienced fully, in and through nature , the symbolic expressions of the masculine and feminine heart and character of God and translated and extended that to more fully understand God’s original design for man and woman.

In addition, one cannot understand the original nature that God gave to man and woman until one has a crystal clear understanding of the Fall of man and of its consequences. The fallen natures which men and women inherited have never been fully understood or defined clearly. With this understanding, plus the realization and perfection of true love in both masculine and feminine expressions, True Parents could perfect the original character and nature of man and woman and give the world its first glimpse of God’s intended incarnation in His children.

Of course, the epitome of this incarnation is found in the parental heart and character of God in man. Embodying the richness and fullness of the Divine Feminine -- rather than imitating the Divine Masculine with minor modifications -- is a revolutionary role which Mrs. Moon pioneered for all women. In her can be found the sisterly role model, motherly role model, wifely role model, and a truly inspiring example of a woman who attained the fullness of a “daughter of God” in her own right.

Fallen mankind is hungry for this revolutionary contribution of True Parents to the world. Not only will women experience , at long last , their liberation and fulfillment as the literal daughters and wives of God through men, but also men will experience for the first time their fulfillment as literal sons of God. The “School of Love” in the human family will finally blossom as never before and God will dwell with His children on the earth. T here can be no doubt that t his revolutio nary contribution will create a major change in the future of humanity.
