How Restoration is Carried in Each Age:
OT - Based on Laws - 'Obedience to the law' (External Conditions) A Servant State
NT - Based on spiritual - 'Prayer & Faith' (Internal Conditions) Adopted Child
CT - Based on Heart - 'LFSO' (No other conditions needed) God's Child
Example: 10 basic and hundreds of additional Hebrew laws could not bring the Ideal. Jesus brought freedom - two major commands; Love God, and Love your Neighbors.
What could each stage bring:
Law - to Middle Spirit World / Formed Spirit / Physical Mind World / Similar to Communism
Faith - to Paradise / Life Spirit / Spirit Mind Growing / Best of the Democratic World
Heart (LFSO) - to Heaven / Divine Spirit / Mind-Body Unity / God's Original Ideal
Why the Commandments cannot bring us beyond Formed Spirit?
The Commandments are for the Physical Mind - to be restricted until the Spirit Mind develops and takes over. To prevent the Fall while immature.
Why The Law could not bring a beautiful world - where our Original Nature is Free?
(1) The understanding of the Truth at the time was only partial.
(2) Fallen human laws and interpretations only generate more and more restrictions.
Spiritual Growth requires - Freedom and Responsibility
(1) Without Freedom one cannot take Responsibility, therefore cannot develop spiritually beyond servant.
(2) Freedom exists only within the Principle - therefore, not on external laws, but on learning the Truth and living by it - by your Conscience / Not by external Enforcement.
(3) The Truth is not a book of laws - the Complete Testament gives us the guidelines - observed and incarnated only in the substantial example of the True Parents.
External Laws are Physical Mind Restrictions
Don't do this, don't do that / This is a child level / Needs to learn some boundaries
But child should have loving parents / So laws are not restrictive, but educational.
Once the child matures spiritually, External Restrictive Laws are no longer needed. It will be mature to take good conscientious decisions not out of fear, but out of conscience.
More Laws, More Restrictions - Result in no Freedom:
Communist-type of totalitarian regime will be the only end result of such approach to controlling society. You can see how even Democratic Socialism moves in that direction. This approach leads only to this result. More restrictions - lead to more police - lead to more arrests - lead to more crimes - more fear - leading to even more restrictive laws, arrests, and bureaucratic enforcement.
What if it's centered on God?
Best example will be today's restrictive Muslim Regimes. It's worse than Communism. Life in Israel at Jesus' time was not much different, if not even worse. So much can be misused in the name of God, if physical mind starts creating new and new restrictions to guarantee some spiritual path.
Note: The "negative" formulation ("Thou shalt not") in the 10 Commandments parallels the Ma'at confessions structurally. Most biblical scholars view the 10 Commandments as participating in a broader Ancient Near Eastern legal tradition.
Main difference: If the Hammurabi's Code is applying different penalties based on social class (aristocrat, commoner, slave), the biblical law emphasizes equality before God. The 10 Commandments' focus on monotheism, Sabbath observance, and the "stranger" (foreigner) as a protected class.
Why Physical Mind's solutions lead to Spiritual Confinement?
It's a Reversal of Dominion - Physical Mind controlling the Spirit and Heart.
Any Reversal of Dominion allows Evil Spirit World to work.

IHS - Concepts, Principles, Laws - (Order) NO FREEDOM

DP: Freedom didn't Cause the Fall:
"No freedom" means 'Spiritual Laws are Absolute." Stepping out of them we lose 'Freedom'. But DP clarifies, if not pushed by a stronger force, our Original Mind will never go against the Principle.

Descent into Ignorance = Distorted, or Inverted Concepts - I,E,W cannot function properly.

Formation stage of understanding is when we know Divine Principle logically - nearly by heart. In reality, most members are in the very beginning of the Formation stage, many not even there.
Growth stage is to know the Application - that takes much deeper research, interest and prayers to connect these principles with the every-day real situations; understand practically what's good and evil.
Completion stage; Embodying the Truth - living by it - is the stage of Completion. Repetition and practice until the True standard becomes automatic, subconscious way - we become Perfect incarnation of the Truth.
